[[ this is what i want to say. ]]

okay, hey all...

firstly, thanks yana, for being so sweet and sending me such a sweet msg! i miss u too hons! i miss all u guys lar.. it really made my day... =))

secondly, this is random, but i really think this is the best season of American Idol, ever.

the amount of raw undiscovered talent is unbelievable.. with the best of the lot being David Archuleta, the guy with the husky-soul capturing-pure-honest voice. really good combination.. and the laid back crooner Jason Castro, and the rocker David Cook.. i think this year is the guys' year. for sure.

lastly, i just wanna post some random list..

in MY opinion, the some of the best love songs of all time are :

  • I Will Always Love You

  • Because You Love Me

  • Against All Odds

  • Angels

  • Un-break My Heart

  • Endless Love

those, in my opinions, are the love songs that is incomparable to anything out there now..

okay, so here is also my take/opinion on 3 of music's best. haha..

Mariah Carey - okay, i love mariah carey. mariah has the vocal prowess no doubt. that crisp vocals, that 5 octave range, that whistle register, are all the perfect ingredients to be a great singer, or diva. the only thing for me, is when mariah is actually singing in the high notes, its not her full vocals, most of the time, they are very airy and falsetto-like.. and sometimes its hard to see mariah giving full emotions to the songs she's singing cus she'll be busy with the technical aspects of her singing style.. and also, as the years past, i realise, esp now, that her voice cracks very often.. its not as perfect as it was 10 years ago, but hey, the woman has sold over 100 million albums, so who am i to disagree?

Whitney Houston - on the other hand, is The Voice. whitney is unmatched in the vibrato section. no one, and i mean no one, can do a vibrato like whitney can. and when whitney goes for the high notes, esp in her prime, its really powerful full vocals high notes. she's like a soprano, like a opera singer even. that powerful voice, awesome. but, having the same fate as mariah, whitney seems to struggle reaching those high notes.. and more so esp when she performs her mega hit "I Will Always Love You", and just gets it short of hitting the right note towards the end of the song.. i guess years of substance abuse did her awesome vocals harm.. but hey, there's still only one whitney.

Celine Dion - celine dion is on the same level as that of whitney. celine's vocals is really powerful, coming from that small frame of hers.. and her range is also incredible.. its also perfect most of the time.. and her live performances sounds as good as her albums, or even better. celine has maintained herself and her voice, and even after 4 years headlining at Caesar Palace's almost nightly shows, her voice still sounds great.. and its quite amazing to see her sing, cus sometimes she barely opens her mouth but still sounding great..

u have to give them credit where credit is due. i mean do u really think that they will alwwaayyss have their voices unchanged - after 20, 25 yrs singing their little hearts out..

and dont get me started on michael jackson. haha. =)
