[[ this is what i want to say. ]]

GRADUATION DAY.

today, the BIG DAY finally arrived..
with much anticipation we await for today..
as much joy and fun that we'll have, there's always that sad part of know that today will mark the official ending to our poly days...

what started as an exciting day, become a fun crazy day, and ended with me crying to myself at the bus stop...

yes, u seen it right, crying.

so, i woke up bright and early, too excited to slp i guess..?
waited and waited.. chat with sug and dennis online.. and by the time i knew it, it was already 2pm..
hurried to change cus was supposed to meet sug at CW mrt taxi stand at 230pm..
rushed everything, took a cab down.. and met jamal, kumar and sug..

in sch, bfore making our way to the LT68C, we met Ms Zarina on the way!!!
she is always cheerful and bubbly.. and she was really excited to see us, vice versa..
we took some pics, or more..
and when asked why she was so excited, she said that she was happy to see her students graduating..
that really made me happy to hear her say that.. sure gonna miss her laughter also! haha.. esp her 40 laughs a day..

then we moved to LT68C
i had to hurridly put on my tie and gown bfore going into the LT..
sat next to gumu and jamal... i was really really happy to see gumu again!
kept hugging her.. haha..
she's always very cheerful and fun la! very much like me..
so i can easily talk to her..

we were given a short briefing on what to do later on stage
and shortly after proceeded to move to the main convention centre hall..
it was an awesome moment..
a moment that made me feel very proud to have come so far in life..

a proud moment to have gone into NP and graduating from it..

so we sat down
snapping pictures here and there..
then the diploma giving award started..

row by row we moved.. when it came to my turn, made me really nervous..
waited at the side of the stage, walked on shook hands with the ECE director, pose and smile for the camera and walk off..
the whole thing took less than 2 minutes..
but it was a proud, happy and joyous 2 minutes for me..

after everything ended in the hall, we went outside..
it was chaos.. there was sooo many ppl to take pictures with..
and the best part - my camera died halfway.. -_-!!

i fuckin hate this camera for dying on me in such a crucial time!! fuck sia..
k, so, most of the pictures i took is in gumu's camera or zahra's camera.. and i wanna thank gumu very very much for helping me take all those pictures using her camera..

otherwise, i wouldnt know what to do..

i had soo many ppl to meet, to congratulate, to take pictures with.. it was a really fun moment...
kept walking around meet this guy, that guy, this girl, that girl..

its really great to know many ppl, and even better to have many more as friends..

u wouldnt understand the craziness that was there if u didnt experience it..
but i was just rushing to take pictures with everyone i know..
cus i know this is the last time, we would all be at one place together..
so i had to treasure the moment and take it all in..

was there for quite long... taking alot of pictures with many different people..
then i went over to midac where the other guys were waiting for me..

they were at the microe graduation after-party..
i didnt get to eat at the reception at the convention centre, and i didnt get to eat at midac either..
was quite hungry actually.. but heck memories are more impt than an empty stomach..

over at midac, the picture taking continued...
i just wanted to make sure that i had as much memories of the people of ngee ann as possible..
didnt really care for the food..

after the hectic time at midac, me, dennis, sug, jamal and nav headed to westmall to catch Chronicles of Narnia : Prince Caspian...
bfore that went to eat at KFC and jm joined us..
k so, the movie in general is really good.. though a bit darker and more mysterious than the first one..

but all in all id rate it a 8.3/10...

so, bfore i end this post, id like to say a few thanks first...

first, thanks to my A2 classmates for making my first 3 semesters in ngee ann a most unforgetable one.. the craziness every single day that i looked forward to, and with your guys help, im now better and more knowledgable in computers..
u guys are a great bunch of ppl whom i wouldnt forget..

also, thanks to my C3 classmates.. dee, zahra, jm, nav and friends... thanks for always being soo kind and nice to me.. without your guys nice-ness, i wouldve cursed and swore my way through poly..
you guys too are a wonderful bunch of ppl..

thanks to the friends that ive made through my friends, more significantly, the langkawi guys.. sug and gang..
u guys rock too man.. always an outgoing, really fun bunch..
langkawi was awesome because i came back with a bigger circle of friends..
great ppl nonetheless..

thnks to the lecturers, ms zarina, for making every WISP lesson such an enjoyable lesson!!
u are the most rock teacher in like forever! haha
im gonna miss ur contagious laughter!
and dr. chong for being ever so kind...
and to those who's taught me and ive missed u out.. ur as impt to my graduating as those ive mentioned... so thanks..

same goes to everyone that ive failed to mention.. its just that there's too many ppl to thank.. and just know that even the simplest things anyone did to make me smile or make my day, i appreciate it with all my heart.

but for all you our there... im gonna say a BIIGGG THANK YOU for everything and everyone who's had a part in helping me go through poly life with soo much joy..
i enjoy your company very very much and im gonna miss you to bits..

the biggest thanks for the night will go to my best friend of 7 years, jamal. thanks, for being there for me throughout this 3 years in ngee ann..

listening to my crap, taking my nonsense almost daily.. and motivating and teaching me when i need you to..

for lending me ur listening ear when i need you to.. and for lending me your shoulder to punch on when i need you to..

ur unconditional friendship really means alot to me.. so the biggest thanks goes to you my friend..

and so, i did what i did 4 years back, which is to cry.. i suddenly had flashbacks of my time in poly while reading the testimonial jamal wrote on my book...

tried so hard to contain myself.. but my emotions got the better of me.. i guess to let out all ur emotions once in a while is a good thing..

okay so once again, id like to say CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE GRADUATES FROM NGEE ANN POLY ECE 2008..

WE HAVE DONE OURSELVES PROUD AND I WISH EVERYONE ALL THE BEST IN THEIR FUTURE ENDEAVOURS.. ITS BEEN A REALLY AWESOME JOURNEY AND THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES.

[[ this is what i want to say. ]]

hey all..
today i just feel like updating, so here i am..

kay, so, today, yst and the past sunday i didnt work, cus last minute my colleagues didnt wanna work, so i also didnt wanna work alone..
this job is sort of freelance kinda job?

okay anw, yst i didnt work right.. so i decided to call jamal and get him to meet me..
i was already in the office actually, went back home to change, and then went P.S to find jamal..
decided to watch a movie! yay!
since its been quite some time since ive seen one - the last being Ironman a few wks back...

OH wait! i just caught What Happens in Vegas this past sunday..
haha..

oh okay, so lame excuse for wanting to catch a movie...
kay in any case - tts the only thing worthwhile to do with jamal cus he's not very enthu about doing ANYTHING else..

anw, i also wanted to watch Indiana Jones & The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull!!
i have to say that the movie - being the original National Treasure movie really lived up to all the hype..
it was a gd movie, though Indy did seem a little slow and lethargic..
but hey, he's 19 years older since the last Indy movie ( yes, the last installment was 19 yrs ago ), so i guess i shouldnt complain..

but the graphics was amazing.. was really life-like.. i dont think this movie would be possible 19 yrs ago.. but heck they sure up the ante in this movie..

the spielberg-lucas magic touch brought back Indy to the big screens with a bang i have to say...!
all in all a really good movie, though once the "alien" thing kicks in, it gets kinda nonsensical, but then again it is a fictional movie..
my rating : 8.5/10

then another movie that i recently caught was What Happens in Vegas, on sunday..
it was dead hilarious! and the ashton kutcher-cameron diaz coupling is really a match made in tinseltown..

they looked so compatible and looked to be a perfect match for this movie!
ull laugh ur pants off in most parts of the movie!

the only issue i had with the movie is that it had a predictable ending..
this kinda movies most of the time had this kinda endings - they always end up falling for each other.. bleahs..
but but but, apart from that i think that everyone HAS to go and watch it because it is THAT GOOD!
my rating : 8.5/10

besides catching the movie on sunday - my 2 colleagues, tiffany, cheryl, and i went ice skating in the afternoon!! was really fun!!
after soo long haven gone there, it was nice to finally go there again..
haha..
im definitely better than the last few times i was there..
but i still fell!. -_-!!

the front of my skates got caught in the ice and i fell, like bear... lols
had many scratches and bruises.. sucks man.. so embarrassing!
and i had cheryl there to laugh it off.. HAHA.. even worst!
but it was was great fun definitely, so no regrets!

as for today, me, sug, kumar, aarthi and for a very short time, jamal met up at P.S for dinner..
came late, and i met jamal sug and aarthi first at P.S..
kumar as usual, was late..

k so, we decided on dinner at pizza hut since sug had like 15bucks hut vouchers..
while waiting to be called for seating, we walked around carrefour (pronounced kar-fur), talked alot of nonsense and just had fun..

then we proceeded to p.hut just stood around there...
were called for seating, jamal left to meet his momsie, and we had a sumptuous dinner of nicely baked garlic bread and soft crusted pizzas.. woots..
i love pizzas. haizz..

after dinner we went outside, sat down for a camera-appreciation moment..
took errr quite alot of pictures.. kept snapping.. ahaha!
aarthi bought a new camera.. was a really good camera i think cus it worked real well! haha..
after everything we left for home, and now here i am writing about today..

okay.. i think im quite done!
have a good one guys!
and let's welcome tiffany to my blog! *claps* -_-!!
HAHA.. toot.

this season's movies are movies that i think is really worth watching! cus most of those "hot" movies are more than 100 minutes long, and some even more than 120 minutes!! soo freaking worth the money!

movies left to watch :
Chronicles of Narnia : Prince Caspian
Made of Honour (maybe)
Sex and the City (most probably)

[[ this is what i want to say. ]]

today was a T-I-R-I-N-G day!!!
i actually feel like fainting already.. my feet hurts and my body aches...

actually today was the first day of my new part time job..
hmm, follow students on excursions! cool right!!
was intro-ed by nas..
anw, its actually a fun job, as we get the chance to interact with the students, but at the same time, tiring like crap..

so today had to wake up at 6 am!! or i'd be late!
im amazed i could actually wake up!! even nas was complaining about how long ago was it since we've woken up soo early bfore!
AHEM. my friend *ahem* managed to wake me up in the wee hours of the morning!
exactly 6am i think!! haha
i was really tired lar... and i kept thinking that i HAD to wake up..
so THNKS! otherwise id definitely be late, as usual.

was to report to ACS(I) at 730... reached there chun chun 725am.. nice one la..
had briefing again..
and had to carry the uber heavy drinks up.. 3 boxes of water to be exact!!
up a spiral staircase! and the only thing nas helped with was laughing at me!
so thnks also!

k then blah blah..
we gathered at their bus bay, and left for singapore river-civic district area..

today was a gd day to organise events, it wasnt wet at all..
but it was too freaking hot to do anything also!!!

OHMYGOD... i had to like patrol the roads, reminded me of pri sch rd crossing monitor duties, haha, and stand most of the time..
and esp during the 1030 -12+pm time.. omg..
like can kena heatstroke sia!!
im serious.. it was soo freaking hot..
i couldnt stand it.. i really felt like fainting..

even on the way back to the sch, the aircon was USELESS!! couldnt feel a thing!
cus my whole body was too hot man.. i could feel it all the way inside my body .. the heat..
oh man.. i really pitied those kids.. somemore have to run ard..

but on the whole it was fun la! i enjoy working with students! cus they somehow make me feel young again.. =)

oh oh and otw back, i followed nas's class bus, and the class's relief teacher, this girl like 1 year younger than me..
is bloody freaking pretty sia.... seriously.. !
even nas says she's really pretty, if she says that person is pretty, means she's pretty...

she doesnt dish out nice comments often..
hahahah!
but she's really.. aawwhh.. so chio..
she mixed blood i think.. looks abit chi-moh (chinese+angmoh)..
awesome! HAAHA!

k so in any case, only on the way back did i realise how freaking big acsi was!
i think the whole field was the size of the entire queensway sec..

speaking of QSS, unfortunately QSS is stingy enough to not employ this company to do games and hunt trails for the students.. there's alot of other schs, except for QSS.. even queenstown has it..
otherwise ill make sure ill be like torturing the students of queensway! HAHAHA..

okay im tired already..
cheers. =)

[[ this is what i want to say. ]]

im f bored man..

dont know what to do.. no one to talk to... my hands are itchy, they wanna type, but nothing to type for.. so, im doing this now...

i think didnt blog about the recent sheesha meet up i had with jamal and the gang, gang as in sugnesh, amarprith, aarthi and kumar..

yes, i know i have many indian friends.. lols.
anw, i cant exactly remember when we met up, but that doesnt matter..

okay i met up with sug and amar first at bugis mrt there..
we waited for jamal for like 45 mins? and supposedly he was at 'lavendar'..

one thing ive learnt from my grp of friends is that, when they say they're at this place, it means they are no where near that place!!

jamal is lucky i wasnt waiting alone or itd be pissed off.. haha
btw, when he finally reached, he came with a bk in hand.. yes, a freaking book..
why?

he told his rent that he went to the "library" to read..
yeah. right.
if library means haji lane, seriously oily fries and sheesha, then library it is..
so we walked to al majlis...

honestly, this is the sucky part, singapore is sooo lacking in chill out places that every single time we have to go for sheeshaing! and every session is killing me softly..

now how can they blame us for always going there..
the place was packed.. luckily we managed to find a place to sit down..
as usual the chill session started..
after a while, aarthi came...

the funny thing was, when she came, she immediately said she saw kumar walking around!!
haha. then we were like "why didnt u come along with him?!"
and she said that she didnt know he was also coming!

and we were like, " then what would he be doing in arab street alone!"
haha
funny lurh that girl..

good thing kumar and sug were there..
at least we had real smokers to help smoke the damn thing.. cus at some points the smoke damn thick lar..
cant really smoke much... id only be coughing..

anw, sheesha sessions are good photo taking sessions..
esp with sug's professional camera, i didnt even bother taking out my cam.. haha

when me and my friends go sheesha, i will always torture them one..haha!
cus i will always ask them to breathe the smoke and hold it in, then slowly breathe out for me to take a cool picture!
however, 9 out of 10 times it sucks.. hahah

soccer was on - man u vs i dont rmb who, and it really was quite exhilarating.. esp when ronaldo scored the first 2 goals i think..

kumar was miserable though, he bet on the other team to win, he hates man u tts y...

k, after a long day, we all walked out of that place.. and onto the road..
stood there like idiots deciding what to doo.. haha.

in the end amar took cab, jamal rushed on the train, kumar sent me, and aarthi back later, and sug took the train after waiting with aarthi..

you know what, sug took a picture while i was on the bike with kumar!
omg its ridiculous!! ahaha.. omg, cant believe how stupid it looks!!

cus kumar is realy small sized and all that and he's the driver and me the passenger!
looks damn stupid lar!
ahahah

okay ill post the pics in another post.. hehe..

[[ this is what i want to say. ]]

so, last wednesday night was the Elton and the band concert in singapore...
i think i sorta maybe regretting not going!!
haha...

reason being - he is Elton John!! the man has won countless accolades, itd be an honour to hear him sing!!
and to see in person a singer who has sold well over 200 million albums would be amazing!

and im writing this because i just read an article on the ST that was talking about the concert...
and what a professional Elton was..
he did not let his fans down, unlike the recent Maroon 5 concert, and he did an honest 2 and a half hr concert!! and sang 24 songs!!

TWO AND A HALF HOURS!!

i would rather pay 150 for 2 and half hrs than pay 100 bucks for a little under 75 minutes!
man, he is a real pro...
all this REAL singers normally dont disappoint their fans with cut-short performances...

but come on, Maroon 5 didnt even do an encore!!! that really pissed me off...
the quite new guys in the entertainment scene obviously didnt care about pissing their fans off..

and there's this guy who has been singing his heart out for almost his whole life even did an encore....

now that's the difference between the singers now and those that has already made a name for themselves..

honestly, id rather be watching elton and the band..

[[ this is what i want to say. ]]

hey yall..

okay, so here's the deal... ive promised soo many different people outings that i better fulfill all of those promises....

so i decided to write out a TO-DO list in this mth or the next.... (anytime bfore my NS actually..) just in case i forget...

plan an outing with my A2 friends :

i need to plan an outing with my A2 friends, most probably will be a Sentosa outing since we have nv done a sentosa outing bfore.. and i have not met them since prom night, so this is outing is overdue!

plan for a 3d/2n or 1 day trip with the clique :

this one is gonna be quite tricky cus it HAS to be fast! i need to get temp passport and have to leave the country and come back fast, just in case they think i might be trying to leave the country to avoid NS..

but i hope this can be done, even a one day shopping trip is awesome enough..

plan for an outing with C3 friends :

need to plan for an outing to get the C3 guys together... its been long since ive seen some of them too.. and i will need to give JM back his ipod.. haha... as of now, no ideas on where to go...

plan for more outings with jamal and friends :

needa do more meet ups with sug, arthi, amarprith, kumar and obviously jamal...

also plan for outing with pritipal :

have to plan another day outing with priti.. very long nv see her already.. soon soon! mayb she will go ice skating! HAHAHA..

plan another pulau ubin trip with the colleagues :

this time round, most if not all of the colleagues will be going.. go ubin cycling and enjoy scenery..

plan an outing for sab, fharid and irya :

hafta plan mayb a movie/dinner or some outing with this 3 friends of mine.. haha.. miss them much..

plan for an ice skating outing :

its been years since i went ice skating, and i think this mth's the time to go back.. haha.. so haven decided yet though..

plan for mayb another escape themepark outing :

unconfirmed as of yet...

so ya, tentatively, those are the plans i have lined up for my friends this last few mths...
i am still working though, so i will have plan around it..

hmm, anw, on the other hand... ive been going home late from work everyday lurh.. so tiring..
today reached home at 1240... i am soo tired...

hmm i think im gonna call queensway sec up mayb tmr or next wk.. see if they have any vacancies for relief teaching.. haha

ooh ohh, i think i will have to do a private degree or something after im done with ns... cus my app was unsuccessful lar.. sad man..
i think its cus of my last semester results, pull me down quite a bit..
aiyah..

also, u know KR stopped calling me back for relief..
and im seriously wondering if they somehow someway found my blog and read that angry post i wrote about that girl..
and tts y they dont wanna hire me again.. i just wanna clarify that i have NOTHING against KR and that that post was written at the spur of the moment kinda thing.. and happen to be that moment i was angry..

im soo freaking bored going online man...im freaking starting to get the msg too.. haha..

[[ this is what i want to say. ]]

oh my gawd!..

ok, so as usual, i was just browsing through youtube looking for nice videos to watch (music videos)..
i browsed and chanced upon this ONE video, this one video that led me to look for 5 more videos of her singing..

its the British vocal powerhouse, Leona Lewis. i was intro-ed to leona by guo xiang last time when she sent me Bleeding Love..
but i was skeptical, i was saying who the hell is this girl.. and i couldnt accept the song right away..
i felt it was kinda boring...

but okay, after watching the videos im watching now, i can proudly say that Leona could very well be the best, if not THE best, talent show winner EVER!!!

she's the product of X-factor (the British equivalent to American Idol), a talent show that simon (cowell or fuller) himself produced..

my jaws dropped to the floor (literally) after i saw the first video...
and guess what, that girl can SING... she cant sing, she can SING!!!!

okay, all you A.I followers out there know that, every single season, the judges will ALWAYS, and never fail to, remind the contestants to NEVER attempt to sing a whitney, mariah, celine, stevie or christina song (note the first 3 names)... note the NEVER to attempt..
there's a reason for them saying that, cause only if they want to dig their own grave, singing any of those above mentioned ppl's songs would really be disastrous and in due time, their elimination...
and most of the time, those who didnt listen, tried, but failed miserably..

BUT, im making an exception for Leona.. the first vid i saw her singing is "I Will Always Love You", undoubtedly, one of the hardest, most difficult songs to sing..
why difficult you say?
cus Whitney sang the hell out of the song! the super powerful vocals, the amazingly controlled vibrato, and the pitch perfect notes..

however, you go type 'leona lewis i will always love you', and watch..
that girl, apart from a little sloopy on her vibrato, managed to bring the same power to the song as whitney did, and she did the major part of the song, the second half of the song, perfectly..
every note was p-e-r-f-e-c-t!!
and right at the climax part of the song, i thought she sounded VERY MUCH like whitney!
omg i was having goosebumps listening to it..

if singing a whitney wasnt brave enough, i saw videos during her run in x-factor, and she not only sang that whitney song, she sang 2 whitney songs, 2 mariah and a celine!!!

W-H-A-T?!!!

that would be freaking SUICIDE for any contestants, even the best at American Idol!
but oh-my-god did she sing the crap out of those songs..

she sang mariah's "Without You".. that was a number 1 song..!
and her vocals were freaking awesome - she flawlessly sang the high notes, the transition from low notes to high ones, omg perfect, and the emotions was touching!!.. i really believe this girl HAS mariah's range, without a doubt!!

if those 2 wasnt scary enough songs to be singing at a singing competition - she JUST had to sing celine's "All By Myself"...
if ANY of you listen to classics, "All By Myself" has celine singing one of the HIGHEST note of her vocal range with soo much power and conviction, that it made the song soo freaking awesome..
i personally think that this song is just one behind "I Will Always Love You" on the difficulties list..

ppl who sing this song, have to know that they will make a bloody fool out of themselves if they dont hit that note, THAT one note..
but Leona somehow, miraculously, did sing that song, in THAT note, with the same power and conviction celine did..
oh my god, this gave me goosebumps too..

this is music industries BIG 3 performers of all time!
its Mariah, Whitney and Celine...
and if there is such a person that has qualities of all 3 of them together, i think she will one day be able to conquer the music world...

Whitney and Celine has that amazingly powerful vocals.. strong, in your face vocals.. and flawless runs.. with whitney having one of the most perfect, most controlled vibrato in the industry...
and Mariah, oh man, that woman with the 5 or 6 octave vocal range... with runs, perfect pitch, perfect timing and flawless melismatic singing style..

i personally think that, Leona no doubt is a vocal prowess! her vocals on all the songs were amazing.. but she lack whitney's ability of a perfect, controlled vibrato.. whitney can speed up or slow down when she's singing in vibrato, and that is really difficult to do..

i also think that Leona probably has some of, if not most, of mariah's vocal range! just mayb she's a little unstable in her lower register..
im serious.. go hear her sing - though, ive yet to find her singing in mariah's "Emotions" whistle register kinda thing, but the W.R is mariah's forte..

and she was the first British in a very long time to have a number 1 in the U.S, a huge achievement.. even Material Girl Madonna has a hard time doing that..
and she further denied Madge a number 1 spot when Bleeding Love was intro-ed in the the U.S..

omg, im writing this just as i found a recorded clip of her singing Minnie Riperton's "Loving You" when she was 15.. Minnie Riperton inspired Mimi to what she is today! and leona was singing in the whistle register!! go hear that song.. that is amazing man.
kudos to Leona..
